Thoraxcentrum provides highly specialized cardiac and thoracic surgical healthcare as well as care in the areas of invasive electrophysiology, pacemaker, ICD/CRT, invasive cardiology/PCI, and TAVI. The clinic employs about 200 staff in care, intensive care, and radiology departments, as well as in outpatient and surgical operations. We have a broad and varied work content and conduct both acute and planned activities. We are a professional knowledge organization characterized by high healthcare quality, a willingness to develop, responsibility, and participation. Here, thoracic anesthesiologists, thoracic surgeons, cardiologists, and thoracic radiologists work together.

The catchment area for the highly specialized care corresponds to about 330,000 residents.

The workplace is completely unique with its multidisciplinary structure, which means daily conferences, short decision-making paths, and collaboration around patients within the clinic's own framework.

About the Job

Standard tasks for a specialist physician in Thoracic Anesthesia with duties at Thiva, Operation, and on-call. There is an opportunity for a shared position with duties also in general anesthesia at the Anesthesia Clinic.

Region Blekinge assigns all permanent staff to emergency positions.

Some of our positions are security classified, where the employee must undergo a security clearance interview and background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585). Applicants who are considered for employment must present an extract from the Police Authority's criminal record before employment.

About You

We are now looking for an anesthesiologist, senior physician, or specialist physician. You may have worked for a few years as a thoracic anesthesiologist and possess competence at the on-call level, or you may be a fully qualified specialist in anesthesia interested in further specializing in thoracic anesthesia. You are a confident and stable person with good collaboration skills and a structured working method.
